A very fun night was had by all at the Absolute Comedy Club on Preston Street last night.
A fundraiser, organized by 101.9 DAWG FM  for the kids at CHEO raised just over $2000.00 and had the sold event in laugher all night.

The night was  hosted by Greg Schroder, an extremely funny guy himself, who by the way moonlights as a school teacher.
Other comedians included Jason Harper, Josh Williams and Jason Laurans

Also on hand were Elizabeth Manley, JW Jones, Steve Marriner & Matt Sobb of MonkeyJunk and the hosts of The DAWG’s Breakfast of course.
Thank you to everyone who came out!

Once again this year, Diann Lalande and Sylvie Simard of Diann’s Beauty Salon, opened up their hears and their salon to raise money for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.

Diann and Sylvie drew in record crowds to the 12th annual event. The pair donated all of the days styling fees to the cancer foundation. And today’s tally is just over $7,500.00!!!

These donations are raised in our community to improve wait times, provide close to home access to care, to improve the quality of life for those living with cancer and to support research and access to new therapies.  These funds are targeted to help all our local friends and neighbours right across the Ottawa region.

Some of the young ladies waited years to cut their hair in order to donate their ponytails to the Angel Hair For Kids organization.
Leeann Shane had beautiful, long flowing red hair that took her many years to grow and she was smiling the whole time Diann and Sylvie took turns carefully removing her golden locks.

Diann and Sylvie started the first ever Cuts For Cancer event back in 2000 and to date have raised close to $50,000.00!!!

Thank you Diann and Sylvie for this wonderful event and for all that you do in our community of Orleans!
