Jessica is our CF Champion for the Ottawa chapter of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

A very special thank you goes out to Mark Monahan, A.J. Sauve and Tammy Parent of Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest for helping me arrange this incredible evening for Jessica.
They really rolled out the red carpet for her!

Jessica and her friends were treated to a special meet and greet with Keith Urban where they were able talk in a relaxed atmosphere for about 10-15 minutes.
She and her friends were then escorted to the VIP platform on the stage where an incredible view could be had of the enormous crowds and of course, Keith himself, a few feet away during the entire concert.
Goose bumps all around for sure!

A big thank you also goes out to my Help-Portrait sponsor, Lenovo Canada, who provide funding to offset printing and framing costs. Thank you Dave!!!

WOW… What a day!

Our day began at 8 A.M setting up the 5 “studios” at the Caldwell Family Centre.
With 7 photographers on hand, we were raring to go when the first participants arrived at 9 A.M.
We had so much fun shooting, talking with and connecting with some of the most awesome people you can imagine.
A couple of folks were telling us they have not had their picture taken in over twenty years!
We had a couple of large families and one with 5 very young children who were a blast. The kids kept screaming at us “One More!, One More!”
There was so much laughter and joy throughout the day.
Our last session was at 5:30 P.M… it was a long day but worth every minute of it.
This is a day that I will remember always and cannot wait until next year.

I would also like to thank all the Ottawa photographers,  Richard, who did all the leg work for this site, Peter, Christine, Mike, Julian, Graeme, and Jennifer, you guys rock! See you next year.

Just a note to thank the Help-Portrait founders for featuring Heather on the front page of their new website.
This is special as it falls on the 1 month mark of Heathers passing.

I’m very happy to announce that the Madonna Long Term Care Residence, in Orleans Ontario, a suburb of Ottawa, has asked us to to share our talents with their residents!

We will initially start with their 90′s Club, residents who are 90 years young and over. This will involve a group shot and of course indiidual portraits.

At a later date we will return to shoot the other 115 residents.

I cannot thank the awesome talent pool of photographers we have here in Ottawa, especially the Ottawa Flickr Group, for all their contributions and their willingness to participate in this endeavor.

One thing we are looking for right now is a little bit of corporate sponsorship, especially for print services. If you know anyone who may wish to help out the Help-Portrait movement here in Ottawa, please let me know!
